Ideas and Issues

Most campaign websites are filled with vague promises and goals such as, “Let’s keep our city a great place to live.” These are things you can’t argue with; it’s like trying to punch a cloud.

Councilman Joe McElroy is running a different, more forthright type of re-election campaign. This website and blog explain what he has done to help the city, why he did it and his hopes for the next four years. Joe invites you to discuss the issues that are important to you, by phone at 630-717-1067, email or during a meet-and-greet. Throughout his first term, McElroy has taken strong stands on the issues he cares about, even if not everyone agrees. This approach doesn’t always please everyone, but has earned him kudos from those who appreciate honesty.
